Shepherd and Wedderburn Natural and Unique

When commissioning the design of their award-winning office in the heart of Glasgow’s city center, UK law firm Shepherd and Wedderburn, wanted to create a work environment where staff and partners could collaborate on challenging transactions whilst others worked in a quiet, focused manner. Design agency, Keppie, fulfilled the brief by creating a modern, flexible workspace, in stark contrast to corporate style normally associated with the legal sector.

Shepherd and Wedderburn are delighted with the raw natural look of acoustic wood wool tiles BAUX Plank and the designs have become a talking point when meeting clients. The striking aesthetic of the wood wool tiles lends warmth to the meeting spaces, shaping client experiences and creating a soft backdrop for the sharp Shepherd and Wedderburn branding.

Designed by Form Us With Love, BAUX Plank offers a natural, refined, artisan look. So if you like the look of the natural acoustic wood wool tiles, check out our BAUX Plank series here!

Acoustic collaboration space
Shepherd and Wedderburn were looking to challenge the way they interact with clients so they asked Keppie to design their meeting rooms and collaboration spaces in order to give staff and clients greater opportunities to mingle and interact.

Working environment
The client is delighted with the finished project, in particular the impact the new space has had on work practices and client experiences. The natural textures of acoustic wood wool tiles broke down the formality of the meeting room and the acoustics were softer.

A refined look
The striking natural aesthetic of the wood wool tiles lends warmth to the meeting spaces, shaping client experiences and creating a soft backdrop for the sharp Shepherd and Wedderburn branding.

We wanted to create a feeling of space but maintain client confidentiality. We choose BAUX Plank because the natural fibres and subtle colour fluctuations provided an informal texture to breakdown the formality of meeting rooms. The acoustic dampening also helped to create a more intimate, responsive setting.
